The look

By:  Eugenie Ishimwe

Ravishing red

Modern audacious

Designed to be noticed

Eye catching

Ahead of its time

Simply ageless

Sensational jaw dropper

How does one stay true to the vision

My secret

Dragons and monsters

A stroke of cool rather than defiance

Though I admit it’s often murder

Exactly why

For good reason

To hear from

Spring did more than leave a little colour

When we 1st met

Your look caught my heart

At London fog

We’re inspired

Connected

Delighted in the unexpected

We’re full of surprises from peaceful pit stops

Balanced youthful daring with a dash of romance

So high can’t get enough

December

A bump in our standings while expecting nothing but the best

… Vroom Vroom …

Me When I Grow Up

By:  Jada Resler

2015 I'm 12

my life is boring but I will get to do

 things that are fun.

2016 I'm 13

and the same as 12.

2017 I'm 14

I'm babysitting.

2018 I'm 15

almost driving.

2019 I'm 16

my sweet 16 birthday.

2020 I'm 17

in high school.

2021 I'm 18

I'm a senior.

2022 I'm 19

and going to college.

This is my life- never stopping.

Where I'm From

By: Kordiea Rerick

I am from electronics-

fitting my hand perfectly

She is from the wide world

of plastic Barbie dolls

I am from hitting and

 catching to passing and setting

She is from kickball with

friends to wet swimming fun

She is from music-

filling her world

I am from books

filling my head

She's from The Beatles

and the era of Elvis Presley

I am from the radio

wondering what's next

She's from John F. Kennedy

a president sized crush

I am from knowing no

celebrities for me

She is from Sixlets, Bubble Gum

and Penny Candy

I am from Hershey Bars

chocolate melting in my mouth

She is from the Ed Sullivan Show

the comedy and laughs

I am from American Ninja Warrior

the suspense and skills

She is from Nancy Drew

and her mystery skills

I am from Warriors -

cats fighting to survive

She is from cool rad and wow

I am from 'sup and yolo

She is from her future

as an oceanographer

I am from hope of becoming

a president or a teacher

She is from silence

I from noise

She is from family

I am from family

WE ARE FROM FAMILY

The Red Tricycle

By: Kordiea Rerick

Wheels creaking.

Handlebars crooked.

Years

of playing

lost

in the rain.

Sometimes

a race-car

zipping around

the crooked

chalk-drawn track.

Teetering,

almost falling

around the corners.

Seven years.

One generation.

Three maybe

four kids

and it's two steps

and always

 crooked seat.

It's broken bell

worn

after too many

rings.

All

these memories.

Yet,

after some rain

there is

a rainbow

and the small,

red tricycle

is young

and fearless

again.

Passing in Life

By - Rutwik.

YT : TDE

The Future that will rise,

Like a gleaming Light.

The Glorious 1,

The Mystical 1.

As you stride on

The Victorious 3,

You strike the Amazing 4,

The Powerful 5,

And the Mighty 6.

As you get older,

The power and the glory

You once had,

Are now Obscure.

They are responsibility.

You will find your passion,

The things you like, Hidden

way in the depth will be waiting

to be found.

You will unlock

the Ultimate goal.

Your life will change

the way it should.

Your Passion

Your Destination

Your Goal

will be found.

More Glorious

More Mystical

More Victorious

More Amazing

More Powerful

and Mighty.

You will find this as you pass through

The Game of Life.

Because that's the way it is and Will be.
